Manufacturing Manager for more than ten years.  Worked for Fortune 100 Company managing a plant with more than 300 employees.

Founded law firm in Oak Brook in 1980 that concentrates in labor and employment law representing employers, contract claims and defective construction claims; Also represents voluntary trade associations.

Has been a frequent speaker before local and national trade organizations.  Topics have included hot construction contract clauses; mechanics’ liens, pension withdrawal liability; employment and human resources issues; picketing, strikes and secondary boycotts.  In  private practice of law since 1980.   Has participated in collective bargaining with construction unions such as Bricklayers, Carpenters, Laborers, Painters, Operating Engineers, Plasterers, Tile Setters, Terrazzo Union Workers, and Teamsters.  Concentrates in defending union trust fund claims under ERISA and LMRA; collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration; NLRB and other administrative agency hearings; grievance arbitrations; represents construction trade associations; designs and implements labor relations programs; provides employment practice audits to minimize risk of employee disputes; union organizing; problems relating to EEO, OSHA, ADEA, wage and hour, and related federal and state laws; mechanics lien litigation; and construction contract litigation.  Has negotiated labor contracts for units as large as 10,000 employees and negotiated labor contracts with over 30 employee unions.

Admitted to Trial Bar in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Wisconsin and 7th Circuit Court of Appeals; has practiced in other federal courts such as Northern District of Indiana, Central District of Indiana and Central District of Illinois; Member of the Illinois State Bar Association; prior member of Illinois Bar Association committee on employment law.
